4th Of July Availability

Come enjoy the 4th of July holiday in the beautiful North Georgia mountain town of Blue Ridge. There will be a great fireworks display on Saturday July 2, 2011 at the Lake Blue Ridge Marina. This is truly a fantastic annual event and the marina puts on a great firworks show!
McCaysville will be holding their fireworks show on Friday July 1. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is also having a special train ride that weekend which will surely be enjoyed by family members of all ages.

The Georgia Wine Country presents the 10th annual Wine, Art, and Mustic Festival at Three Sisters Vinyards located in Dahlonega, GA. This event occurs Saturdays & Sundays (June 11-12 and June 18-19). The hours of operation are 10am-6pm on Saturday and 11am-6pm on Sunday. Don't mis the great wine, beautiful art, and fantastic music.

Relay for Life event June 10-11 ... City Park downtown Blue Ridge, GA. Come and enjoy the carnival games, entertainment, food, luminary event, and survivor's walk. Blairsville Scottish Festival and Highlands Games - June 10th-12th. Come see the athletic games, great food, Scottish music & dance, and much much more! Visit their website for additional information.

Corvette Car Show for the Arts - June 18th in the City Park downtown Blue Ridge. Come see 200+ Corvettes on display. This is a great family event and a fundraiser for the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association.

Outdoor Activities in Blue Ridge

Warm weather has hit the north Georgia mountains and the area is bustling with loads of outdoor activities for adventure lovers. Blue Ridge offers miles of hiking trails that wind through national forest land and lead to beautiful natural waterfalls and wildlife. There are also biking trails as well as driving tours through the Cohutta Wilderness. Water spots include Lake Blue Ridge, a beautiful mountain lake, offering boat rentals and a public beach. The Toccoa and Ocoee Rivers offer endless entertainment in the form of whitewater rafting, kayaking, stand up paddling, fishing and swimming. Take a ride on a ZIP line in Blue Ridge or nearby in Copperhill, TN. There's loads of fun throuout the North GA Mountains.

Blue Ridge Events - March 2011

The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway 2011 season begins on March 11th and runs thru the end of December. Board the train at the historic 100 year old depot in downtown Blue Ridge. Call the train for times and prices at 706-632-9833. There are special trains throughout the year and the first will be the Easter Eggspress in April. Hope to see you on board soon!

The Wine Growers Association of GA sponsors the 5th annual "Wine Highway Weekend". Come taste the Award Winning Wines from 9 North GA wineries located from Young Harris to Dahlonega.
